WAKEFUL AT NIGHT

When I found myself, once again, awake and restless in the middle of the night, I did something smart this time. I turned on the computer, and went to Prevention Magazine Online. There, I browsed through several articles about weight loss.

Another smart thing I did was chose a low-calorie snack - I sliced up a small apple, and lightly spread soynut butter (available in the business) on it. It was filling and delicious.

Earlier in the evening, I was working out on my exercycle; it's the model that has moving handles, for a greater workout for the arms. I only lasted 5 minutes, and initially felt disappointed. But then, I reminded myself that was 5 minutes longer than I had lasted in the last year. So, actually, that was progress. And, because I hadn't overdone the workout and become overly sore, I would be able to do the same tomorrow, or even more.

I'M GETTING EVEN SLIMMER

I weighed myself on the Lakewood High Health Center scale (the one I normally use), and I've lost 17 pounds, so far.

My face is beginning to have more definition. I am able to get into the next size down outfits, and not just the ones that have elastic waists. We're talking fitted clothes. I even had to alter a skirt, taking it in. I was developing a serious sag, and in danger of losing the skirt.

Today, when the weather changed, I had a little hip pain. It reminded me of before I decided to lose weight, when those kinds of pain were nearly constant and every day events. I'm very glad that I made the decision to go ahead with the Trim Advantage program.

IBO CONNECTION TO THE UPLINE

I've recently talked to my upline, and they've provided a way to keep in touch with the group via the Freedom Fighters Team. The site is only $ 10/month, and provides:

  • Calendar of upcoming events
  • Information for new (and not-so-new) IBOs
  • News
  • Links to pertinent sites

14 POUNDS IN 2 1/2 WEEKS

I've been getting so excited about my weight loss. I've been trying on clothes in the next size down, and they all fit loosely! There are a few items I've never even been able to wear (gained weight between purchase and event bought for!)

WOW!!!!

I created a new recipe. The vegetables I was eating were getting a little boring - you can only chomp down on so many carrot and celery sticks. So, I experimented and made:

SWEET POTATOES FOX

Peel and slice a medium sweet potato for each person's serving. Peel and slice a medium apple. Use non-stick spray for an oven dish, and layer the slices in alternate rows. Sprinkle fresh currants, if available (they have an incredibly intense flavor). Sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon, cover, and bake at 350 degrees for an hour.

This travels well the next day, if you heat it up in a microwave.

To my salads, I've been adding extra flavor with:

Red cabbage, shredded
Chickpeas
Onions
Romano cheese - 1/4 teaspoon

The important thing is to get some variety in the day's food. It helps keep me on the Trim Body plan.

In the late afternoon, I've been coming home hungry (I work as a substitute teacher, and am generally done by 2:30 - 3:00). I've learned to get a hot cup of tea or bullion, and, if still hungry, grab a piece of fruit. That generally keeps me until dinner. If I still want something, I can have my salad early.

IT'S REALLY STARTING TO SHOW

I've been a good little girl about sticking to the Trim Body plan, and I'm beginning to see the positive effects.

  • My clothes are looser
  • My jawline is getting more defined, although I still have the double chin
  • My shoulders are no longer feeling the pain of my underwear diggning into them
  • My shoes are getting looser (I'm retaining less water)
  • I stand straighter
  • I move faster
  • I can run upstairs

I'm looking forward to being on 3 meals a day, starting tomorrow. I think I'll have cereal and fruit tomorrow for breakfast. LOVE those carbs!
